I am Urbantutu, and for the first time in 42 years I have finally won a giveaway 😜. I have entered competitions, and filled surveys, and bought raffle tickets but no zip, zero, nada!!! I gave up hope on ever really winning anything, but it finally happened 😊.
Not only did I win, but I won one of my favorite things ever. A baggggggggg!!!!
I woke up, felt around for my glasses, and reached out as you do for the phone. My sunshine was still snoozing next to me, and it was so nice and cozy in bed, so why not check my emails and my Insta while I can. The first email that I read and the first words that stuck out like anything to me, were “Congratulations”.
Congratulations what the??? Is this a junk email? So I read it again “Congratulations you are the giveaway winner”.
Omg omg omg, I was so bloody excited I woke my poor husband up to show him the bag I won. His reaction was “hhhhhhhhhhhhhh”. In English that means leave me alone.
Several things attracted me to this bag. Firstly there were two colour options. I loved the blue and brown combo, the other option was a bit plainer in my oponion. Secondly the little symbol that was at the front of the bag. THE HAMSA.
Thanks to good old wikipdia here is the perfect definition:
“The Hamsa (Arabic: خمسة Khamsah, Hebrew: חַמְסָה, also romanized khamsa), is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa, and commonly used in jewelry and wall hangings. Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the hamsa is believed to provide defense against the evil eye. It has been theorized that its origins lie in Carthage (modern-day Tunisia) and may have been associated with the goddess Tanit. Khamsah is an Arabic word that means “five”, but also “the five fingers of the hand”. It may also be taken as a reference to the primary number itself.”
Now I can go around wearing a fabulous bag AND word off evil. Cue the maniacal laugh ” bohahahahaha.”
The bag is called “AGADIR”. Its made out of braided leather and simili suede. I have no idea what simili suede is but it feels beautiful.
The price is 49 Canadian dollars.
The brand, BIBOUZI, and its design is inspired by moroccan print fashion as the owner herself is from Morocco. Her bags are handmade, so extra special in my eyes.
The best place to see every piece and place an order is via Instagram https://www.instagram.com/bibouziboutique
The good news is she ships internationally too.
I would also love to mention the amazing Sonia for doing this giveaway in the first place. Here is a link to her fantastic blog. Why not log on to her page and you too might be lucky. https://soniaaicha.com/author/missyore/.
I always look forward to your comments. So please let me know if you have enjoyed what you read.
This post has inspired me to look for more gorgeous bags for you to check out. The good news is that none of them are over $100 AUD! I wish this Sunday was Mother’s Day instead of Fathers Day.
